Tyler’s career journey reflects his passion for creativity, marketing, and building impactful experiences that connect people and brands. With a background in Cinema and Media Arts from Biola University, Tyler’s professional path began in radio, where he discovered his fascination with human psychology and branding. Since joining BDR in 2020, Tyler has applied his expertise to crafting marketing strategies that enhance engagement and foster growth. His leadership in marketing innovation was recognized in 2024 when he was promoted to Marketing Manager.
Tyler began his career at iHeartRadio in Seattle as a Promotions Assistant in the Marketing Department. Through dedication and creativity, he rose to the role of Promotions Director in 2017, overseeing the engagement strategies for three heritage radio stations in the Seattle market. His experience in crafting promotional campaigns and creating community connections laid the groundwork for his transition to BDR. As Sr. Marketing Communication Specialist, Tyler played a pivotal role in conceptualizing and executing SPARK, an annual in-person event designed to empower contractors post-COVID. The event’s success has made it a signature gathering for BDR, with over 1,000 attendees to date.
Tyler’s professional achievements highlight his focus on building meaningful connections and giving back to the community. While at iHeartRadio, he led campaigns that combined creativity and charity, such as a live-streaming fundraiser where a DJ watched a movie for 24 hours straight to support anti-hunger efforts. At BDR, Tyler’s approach to marketing involves deeply understanding customer psychology to create strategies that resonate with client needs and aspirations. His work reflects a commitment to continual improvement, teamwork, and a customer-first philosophy.
Outside of work, Tyler enjoys spending time with his wife and two boys, coaching youth soccer, and serving his community. A lover of coffee culture, he often experiments with barista skills at home and explores new coffee shops. His passion for storytelling extends to his role as Public Address Announcer for the Seattle Thunderbirds hockey team. Whether he’s cheering for Seattle sports teams or crafting impactful marketing strategies, Tyler brings enthusiasm, creativity, and a collaborative spirit to all he does.
