Service Coach

Seth Woster

Seth began his career in 2003 as an Imagery Analyst in the Army, serving for seven years and deploying to Iraq, Afghanistan, and Korea. After his service, he transitioned to civilian roles, including contracting with L3 Communications for the Department of Defense, where he worked in Afghanistan and at the U.S. Embassy in Kenya. Seth later pursued a bachelor’s degree in Geographic Information Systems at Sacramento State University while working as a parts runner and installer for Maki Heating and Air. His career progressed into leadership roles, including service manager for this long time Sacramento area HVAC contractor.  Later, after relocating to South Carolina Seth accepted the Plumbing Service Manager role where he successfully scaled the plumbing department from three technicians to twelve.

Seth is particularly proud of his accomplishments in growing and scaling departments, especially where he developed training plans and processes from scratch. His experience spans HVAC and plumbing management, distributor purchasing, and process improvement, giving him a well-rounded perspective on the industry. His hands-on approach and ability to lead teams while consistently meeting revenue and profit goals have been hallmarks of his career.

Seth’s passion for the home services industry is rooted in his admiration for the dedication of field technicians. He finds immense fulfillment in helping technicians grow their confidence and skills, turning jobs into life-changing careers. His leadership philosophy emphasizes integrity, adaptability, teamwork, and understanding what motivates individuals, which he honed through field experience and close collaboration with technicians.

Now as a coach with BDR, Seth is excited to support and guide others, offering the kind of mentorship he wishes he had earlier in his career. His focus on trust, respect, and a servant-leadership attitude ensures strong relationships with his clients. Outside of work, Seth enjoys fishing and spending quality time with his wife and two daughters.
